Avalon is an intimate community where nearly all rooms are private and staff members are better able to respond to each person's wants and needs. The warm and friendly ambience promotes socializing, while wide‑ranging social, recreational and cultural activities help foster positive relationships.

R & R Program

Avalon's "R & R" program helps residents recover and return home after a surgery or illness. Restorative therapy is available in our comfortable, residential setting, so residents recover and return home quickly following surgeries such as hip, knee or other joint replacement procedures. Reservations are encouraged to coordinate with surgery dates.

Our dynamic and skilled therapy team develops an individualized plan to restore each resident's activity levels and encourage independence. Available therapies include:

• Physical therapy concentrating on strength, balance, range of motion and endurance.
• Occupational therapy focusing on muscle conditioning and motor skills.
• Speech therapy dedicated to recovering articulation, swallowing and restoring memory.

In situations where individuals experience reduced mobility or a serious illness, Avalon is ideal. Residents are able to enjoy an exceptional setting combined with around-the-clock skilled nursing.

Respite Care

When caregivers need to be away for reasons such as work, vacation or family affairs, Avalon can offer their loved ones a care-filled, supportive environment for as long as needed. While away, caregivers can have peace of mind knowing their loved one is in good hands. And respite residents can enjoy all the services and activities of Avalon in an atmosphere of acceptance and friendship.

Hospice Care

Avalon provides a tender and supportive environment for terminally ill residents and their families. As a convenience for families, resident accommodations include a kitchenette and generous seating to provide as much comfort as possible. A trained and caring staff attends to resident needs and provides appropriate pain management.
