A Documentary Film Festival And Q&A Panel

Seniors have led vibrant, interesting lives – and at StoneRidge, we know this firsthand. Residents within our community are active, involved, and always open to sharing more about themselves, their experiences, and their backgrounds.

Now, you can experience it for yourself!

Join us for a documentary premiere featuring four of our very own StoneRidge residents. During each of their 15-minute spotlights, you’ll learn about their rich histories, life stories, and how their lives get even better at StoneRidge.

Afterward, join us for a Q&A panel led by the stars themselves.

Joan Weigle: “A Life Well Lived”

Mrs. Weigle talks about her family legacy, early childhood, education, and the influence of music in her life. She speaks of the pain of leaving her home filled with memories, but the joys of coming to the community at StoneRidge. Mrs. Weigle’s life stories are reflective of the nurturing compassion that is so important to our society.

Cormac O’Malley: “Family Legacy with Love”

Originally from Ireland, Mr. O’Malley came to the U.S. as a young person who was, in his own words, “inwardly driven.” His experience of being an only child, coupled with a strong social mindset, fostered in him a strong awareness of self that developed into public service as a lawyer and historian of modern Irish history.

Rita Jolly: “My Story”

In her film, Mrs. Jolly shares her family history as a daughter of Canadian immigrants who was raised alongside four other siblings by her mother after the early passing of her father. Mrs. Jolly also discusses her education and career as a nurse, as well as her participation in StoneRidge’s quilting group.

Jane Allen:  “The Music in My Life”

Music has been a longtime and significant feature in Mrs. Allen’s life. From an early age, she was inspired by music, which led to her pursuing further education in this vocation. Mrs. Allen later entered the field of social work. To this day, her passion for music continues in her activities at StoneRidge.
