Fitch High School Students Complete Clinical Rotations at Avalon
Students from Fitch High School recently completed their clinical rotations at Avalon Health Center as part of a unique program that prepares them to become certified nursing assistants (CNAs) by the time they graduate.
The program, now in its second year, allows students to gain hands-on experience by shadowing CNAs at Avalon, applying their classroom learning in a real-world healthcare setting. To celebrate their achievements, Avalon hosted a luncheon in their honor, complete with cake and goodie bags.
Karina Vanderburgh, the Fitch High School instructor who leads the program, has played a vital role in its development and growth. Over the past two years, Vanderburgh has expanded the program significantly, helping to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Avalon is proud to partner with Fitch High School in supporting students as they take the first steps toward a rewarding career in healthcare.
