U.S. News & World Report Names StoneRidge Among Best Senior Living Communities for 2026 in Independent Living, Continuing Care Retirement Community and Food & Dining in Mystic, Connecticut.

LCS Community Operations™ has announced that its communities earned national recognition in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Senior Living Awards, with 54 communities receiving “Best of” honors and 67 communities recognized overall, including receiving the “Accolades” distinction for outstanding performance in specific areas.

“This recognition is a powerful reflection of what matters most to us – the everyday experiences of the residents and families we serve,” said LCS President and CEO Chris Bird. “The vote of confidence from a record number of our communities, many of whom who were recognized across multiple categories, speaks to the compassion and excellence our teams bring to our communities every day.”

The U.S. News Best Senior Living Awards are based on verified resident and family satisfaction surveys, making them one of the most trusted resources for comparing senior living options. The communities that received recognition are either wholly owned by LCS or managed by LCS Community Operations.
The survey evaluates communities across key experience areas, including:

  • Caregiving and staff responsiveness
  • Management and communication
  • Activities and enrichment
  • Food and dining
  • Sense of home and belonging
  • Safety and overall satisfaction

Only the highest-rated communities in each care level earned a “Best” rating from U.S. News, reflecting the viewpoints from over 540,000 consumer surveys. U.S. News also recognizes outstanding performance in several key areas with a High Performing accolade. These accolades are awarded to communities that scored in the top 25% of evaluated communities nationwide for: caregiving; activities and enrichment; management and staff; food; and home-like environment, while also meeting other criteria.
